Delta County Warrant Records Delta County Warrant Records

Choose the office that keeps the kind of record you need. Read the citation or case paperwork before calling. A city court, county JP, clerk, and Sheriff handle different work, so a call to one office may not locate another court's file. These local routes help a reader ask the right custodian about an existing case, service question, or public record. The private website cannot confirm a warrant or change a court record. Start with the case.

This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. Delta County Warrant Records is a private reference resource. It cannot confirm a warrant, recall an order, take a bond or fine, arrange an appearance, or give legal advice. Only the issuing court can decide recall or clearance; the Sheriff can answer service and booking questions.

Official Delta County Records Contacts

Match the question to the office that holds the file. A Cooper city citation may stay with its municipal court, while county JP and felony cases follow their own court routes:

  • Service or booking: Delta County Sheriff's Office, 200 W. Bonham Avenue, Cooper, Texas 75432, 903-395-2146. The county did not publish a separate warrant-unit line or searchable Sheriff roster.
  • JP traffic or Class C case: Delta County Justice of the Peace, 200 W. Dallas Avenue, Cooper, 903-395-4400 extension 9306. Published hours are weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; call to confirm before visiting.
  • County or district case: County/District Clerk, 200 W. Dallas Avenue, 903-395-4400 extension 9302. Written criminal searches are listed at $5 per name per court. District Court criminal files are not currently online.
  • Cooper city citation: Cooper Municipal Court, 91 North Side Square, Cooper, 903-395-2217. Ask the court for its current appearance, payment, and warrant process.
  • Pecan Gap citation: Use the Texas OCA Judicial Directory and the court and county printed on the ticket. No current public municipal-court phone or warrant workflow was located.
  • Existing county administrative record: Send a focused request to PIA-Request@deltacountytx.com or follow the county's Public Information Act instructions. Judicial case files should go to the court or clerk that keeps them.

For a county information request, identify the office, existing record type, and date range. The county may estimate copying charges, and some sealed, juvenile, or active-investigation material can be withheld. A request to Delta County should not be expected to retrieve a Fannin County or municipal-court file.

Sending a Public Information Act Request

The county identifies its Public Information Act request email and instructions. Ask for an existing record held by the named office; a request for an explanation, a new report, or a live warrant search may not describe an existing public record. Keep the request narrow enough for the custodian to identify the record and the relevant date range.

Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public information held by covered government bodies, with exceptions. Judicial records follow court access procedures under Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12. A general county PIA request is not a substitute for asking the court that maintains a case file.

When the Wrong Office Answers

Ask which court or agency owns the case and write down the name printed on the referral. A Sheriff can discuss service or booking and cannot decide whether a municipal judge should recall a capias. The County/District Clerk does not maintain every city citation. The JP search keys apply to the JP's own docket, not every ticket written in Cooper or Pecan Gap.

If the Pecan Gap ticket does not make the county clear, use the OCA directory and ask whether the court is in Delta or Fannin County. Do not travel, mail payment, or send personal information to an unverified contact.
